More Than A Co-Working Space
Hello friends!
For those of you who know me personally, you’d know that for the past few months I’ve been an intern at a wonderful place called MoveSpace. You’ve probably heard me rave about it a million times, got multiple invites to their events, had me begging for you to come experience the magic at least once. So now, I would like to share with you deeply the experience I have had the past few months, and the potential you could as well.
So... What is MoveSpace?
Officially, MoveSpace is a “Creative Co-working & Event Space - Home for creators making the world more awesome. Celebrating human connection, creativity & social change…”
But really… What IS MoveSpace? What do you feel when you enter it. How does it forever change your world, your perspectives, your friendships. It is so much more than it’s description, and with this, I would like to share.
What does MoveSpace mean to me?
A place to create, to express yourself. I never thought I was a ‘creative person’. At MoveSpace, I learnt that everyone is a creative, we just haven’t given ourselves the space and ability TO create.
You will meet people who followed their passion and are now creating spectacular things, I realise that it’s ok to love these things too. Beautiful passions like photography, dance and art. What is your hidden passion? What do you want to express but are too scared to?
Being able to surround yourself with different types of people completely opens your mind: From Suggie who is a spectacular film maker (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCbNN6rSXn1TG48oJv-RiJ9g), Matthew Goldworthy CEO and Founder of the magical Youth Arts (https://www.youtharts.co.nz), Line Smilseth one of the most intelligent women I have ever met who specialises in personality profiling, Sarah Stakouere a professional massage therapist, Kate Querin bringing awareness to the world on how to be more environmentally friendly and sustainable, Fabian Low a ‘journey wayshoer’ who teaches how to live a balanced and happy life (https://fabian-low.squarespace.com/about), Yaki Wo Nature Therapy Guide and Founder of Wilderites (https://www.wilderites.com/), Alexander Karasulas who has helped Kiran create MoveSpace from the bottom up, and expressed his love for community building in the most spectacular fashion, and many more extraordinary members!
And finally Kiran, a creative genius who works day in and day out to create the space the best it can ever be.
MoveSpace is more than a co-working space, it is a place that ABSOLUTELY BLOWS YOUR FRICKIN MIND. It is a place where you can truly, truly be yourself. A space where you meet the most extraordinary people from every background who have one common purpose, to create, to be part of a community, and to do good in the world.
I think MoveSpace should be a part of everyone’s life, whether you’re a student, worker, or full time artist. MoveSpace gives you space to really express yourself, to learn constantly, to find who you truly are. It is a space of love and community.

MoveSpace is to me a place to meet open-minded people. I wanted to say like-minded but I've come to know people at MoveSpace who are different but are open to new thoughts and ideas. To me this is even more important because the gathering of like-minded people could be susceptible to groupthink. It is a place where I know I can come to talk to anyone and bounce off any ideas without the fear of being judged. It is also a place where lots of people gather to explore their gifts and then give them away

Movespace to me is a place to incubate ideas into reality. It is a highly skilled community that provides the energy to inspire 'doing'. It is also a place for genuine connections... potential connections that last.

Move space is an inspiring safe space. A space that I wish to be home
Inspiring space because of all the colourful souls in there. Souls with talents, will, uniqueness, values, sincerity and smiles. This tiny house is pushing many bordersSafe space because I know that my ideas, even the trickiest even the more personal, will be welcome and above all they can become real with support all alongI feel more confident at move space. A space where beautiful people, beautiful ideas and beautiful movements can come together into the world. A space where you can move into your authentic happiness ... So many great memories and a lot of laughs one day in particular was when we had just finished up with a MveSpace Working Bee and we were all trying to take a group photo in front of MoveSpace. Kiran went onto the street to take photo amongst the traffic. It was hilarious him shimmying to get a good angle. We laughed so much and it showed in the photos.

A lot of words come to mind when thinking of MoveSpace: Beauty, joy, community, meaningful connection, authentically being ourselves, meeting like minds, collaboration, creation, discussion, exploration, family friends, building our purpose, fulfilling our missions, play, laughter, lots of it. Movespace is incredible and I’m grateful to life that it exists. What a belessing, that a space exists where like minds can meet, where projects are inspiration and brought into action, where people share a common goal of making the world more awesome and beautiful, and where anyone, any person can join the circle of friends, experiencing community, connection, collaboration and belonging, in a room where in spite of our differences, we are in that moment, truly one human family.

MoveSpace to me is completely made up by the people that call it home. It's a space where nothing is deemed impossible, and 'right' or 'wrong' doesn't exist, only possibilities. The relationships I've formed with people at the space are connections that have encouraged me to connect more with myself and my passions - I feel incredibly grateful to have stumbled upon this group of creative, conscious and empathetic ChangeMakers, who genuinely care so much about each other and our futures.
